| WHO IS DJ ICEMAN? |
DJ Iceman was born Cedric Tremayne
Dennis on March 15, 1971 on the south side
of Houston, Texas. At a very young age
Iceman had a strong love for music. At the
money earned from his weekly chores and
walk a mile to Stick Horse Records and
purchase old school hip hop records such as
Run DMC, LL Cool J, Joskies Love (Pee
Wee Herman Single), George Clinton, and
other popular artists of the time. As an
only child of an established family in a
middle class urban community his parents
provided him with many things that most
kids would only dream of having. The
young Dj Iceman started at the age of 12
with 2 turntables and a mixer of his own.
However the dream of being a professional
Dj would be put on hold while his attention
was focused on basketball, playing in both
Jr. High and in High School and college in
Salinas, California.
Yearning to fulfill a desire for more,
Iceman joined the United States Army in
January 1993 as a Food Service Specialist.
In 1996 Iceman tried out for the All Army
Basketball Team and was selected and also
tried out for the All Forces Basketball in
1996 for which he was also selected. The All
Forces Basketball Team consisted of the
Top Basketball players from the Army, Air
Force, Navy, and Marines. After serving in
Germany (3 Years), Korea (1 Year), Fort
Hood (5 Years), and Kuwait (6 Months),
Iceman served out his time and got out of
the Army September 2002.
So when did Dj Iceman started Djing
Professionally??? The Iceman started Djing
professionally in 1990 at a country club in
the valley of Coalinga, California while
attending WestHills College. While
stationed in Seoul, Korea in 2000, Dj
Iceman was spinning at the Dragon Hotel
and the NCO Club on Camp Colbern. In
1995 Iceman started Djing again in
Wurzburg Germany at the NCO Club in
between him playing basketball on the post
team and playing for the Army. In 2004 in
Killeen, Tx his big break came when he
started djing at the VFW 9191 and the
Iceman would go there every Thursday as a
guest Dj. It was only a matter of time
before Killeen started to hear about a new
Dj on the scene. In 2005 he became the
main Dj at the Garden Palace in Killeen, Tx
opening up many major comedy shows and
concerts. In 2006 the Iceman started
Sunday & Wednesday nights at Club
Xecutives Killeen, Tx which soon became
the biggest nights in Killeen's history
during that time.
The Iceman’s resume of clubs he has spun
at in Killeen is VFW, Patten’s Inn, Players
Lounge, Garden Palace, Xecutives, Q Club,
Club Rain, Club Deuce Wall Street, Zecrets
Jazz Club, Club Stilettos, the Mixer, Club
Wallstreet, MJ's Bar & Grill and Obok
Lounge. The Iceman for 2 years was one of
the producers for the Tom Joyner Morning
Show at 103.1 Kiss Fm in Copperas Cove,
Texas from 2007-2009. He has established
himself in the community as a respected
Dj, promoter, and businessman.
